The Brasilias Project has come up with a very innovative tool: a Google Earth Mapplet. A mapplet is a Google Maps plug-in.

Brasilias Mapplet will allow anyone with an Internet access to open Brasilias Panoramas on Google Earth.
The result is a fantastic immersive and interactive experience. Users may interact with the map and Google Earth will fly you into the image so you can explore it.

Brasilias Mapplet shows a Brasilias 3D map where users may see all incredibly detailed panoramic GigaPans images, including 360 degree pictures, geolocated in their actual position in the map. Brasilias Panoramas may be fully explored and zoomed in for full details.
Every panorama on Google Earth will show a single "info window", which displays informational content in a floating window above the map.

Best of all, Google Earth and Brasilias Mapplet are both free and can be downloaded in the Internet, allowing large and disadvantaged audiences to access Brasilia’s panoramas collection and cultural heritage information.
